Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Remove the pre-catalyst, high pressure accumulator, high pressure accumulator protection.
3. Disconnect the battery, starting with the negative cable.
4. Disconnect the wiring connector from the air flow meter on the air cleaner, the air ducts from the air cleaner and the tubes from the turbocharger to the charge air cooler.
5. Remove the air filter, engine cover, engine guard.
6. Disconnect the boost pressure sensor, the pipe between the turbocharger and the charge air cooling radiator and the turbocharger and air filter (Fig. 4.58).

7. Disconnect the oil supply line from the turbocharger (Fig. 4.59).

8. Disconnect the oil drain line from the turbocharger (Fig. 4.60). Disconnect the tubes from the boost pressure control valve.

9. From above: unscrew the two nuts securing the turbocharger to the exhaust manifold 1 and loosen the nuts 2, but do not unscrew them (Fig. 4.61). From below: unscrew nuts 2 and remove the turbocharger.

Installation
10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torques
- Turbocharger mounting nuts - 27 Nm.
- Oil drain line mounting bolts - 8 Nm.
- Oil pressure line - 23 Nm.
