Removal
1. Place the vehicle on a two-post lift.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Remove the air filter.
4. Remove the engine sump.
5. Place a support under the exhaust pipe.
6. Removing the exhaust manifold requires removing the catalytic converter.
7. Remove the two covers 1 (Fig. 2.55).

8. Disconnect the wiring connector from the upper oxygen sensor 2 (Fig. 2.56). Remove the upper oxygen sensor using tool Mot. 1495-01, unscrew the six bolts 6 securing the upper casing to the exhaust manifold, unscrew the nine nuts securing the exhaust manifold and remove the exhaust manifold by turning it 45°.

Installation
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the manifold mounting nuts in the recommended order (Fig. 2.57).
