Examination
Raise the rear of the car.
Remove cap from hub.
Attention! Be careful not to damage the cap. Replace damaged cap (water can penetrate through it and damage the bearing).
Move the washer relative to the nut with a screwdriver.
Attention! Do not apply rotational or lever forces to the hub with a screwdriver.
The play is adjusted correctly if the washer can still be moved by pressing the screwdriver with a finger.
Adjustment
Remove the cotter pin from the hub nut.
Slightly loosen the nut and then, while rotating the wheel, tighten it to 25 Nm. If adjustment is made with the wheel removed, rotate the hub.
Slowly loosen the nut until the washer can be moved with a screwdriver.
Insert a new cotter pin into the nut and bend it. If the cotter pin does not fit, tighten the nut to the nearest hole.
Check if the puck is still moving.
If the washer does not move, loosen the nut to the nearest hole.
Pin the nut.
Attach the hub cap.
Lower the car.
