The battery cover has ventilation holes. To prevent electrolyte from spilling through them, the battery must not be tilted more than 40°.
For charging, you can use conventional chargers, as well as quick chargers. The charging current should be 3-5A.
The degree of charge of the battery can be determined by a special indicator built into the battery (see fig.):
- A - green dot in the center of the indicator, the ball lies directly in front of the plastic rod: the battery is charged at least 65%;
- B - dark center, the ball lies on the side of the plastic rod: the charge is less than 65%;
- C - light or light yellow center, the ball lies to the side of the plastic rod, the electrolyte level has dropped below the rod: if starting is difficult, replace the battery.
Shake the battery a little before charging. You can only charge a battery whose indicator color remains dark after shaking. When charging the battery, you need to shake it every hour so that the electrolyte mixes well.
Store the battery at temperatures from 0 to +27°C. In this range, the battery has the lowest self-discharge.
Periodically clean the battery terminals and lubricate its terminals with a special tool from Bosch.
