Removing
Drain coolant. To do this, disconnect the lower hose from the radiator and substitute a container. The drained fluid can be reused.
Disconnect the upper hose connecting the radiator with the expansion tank, after loosening the clamps.
Vehicles with automatic transmission: Loosen the clamps, disconnect the oil hoses from the radiator and close their openings with suitable plugs.
Disconnect the connector from the thermal switch on the radiator.
Disconnect the electrical wires from the fan.
Disconnect (with a screwdriver) side brackets for mounting the radiator.
Pull the heatsink upwards with the fan shroud out of the lower rubber pads.
Installation
If the heatsink is being replaced with a new one, replace the fan shroud and thermal switch with the new heatsink.
Check the condition of the radiator brackets. Replace damaged staples.
Install the heatsink with fan shroud on the rubber pads.
Install and secure the fan.
Connect the connector to the thermal switch on the radiator. Connect the electrical wires to the fan.
Vehicles with automatic transmission: Connect oil hoses and secure with clamps. Check oil level.
Pour coolant into the system.
