Remove the protective cover in the transmission tunnel.
Set the gear lever to neutral position.
Raise the vehicle and place it on stands.
Loosen the gearshift linkage clamp.
Remove the plug from the adjusting hole in the drive cover.
Turn the drive rod to the left (relative to the direction of travel) until the adjusting tool Opel KM-527 enters the adjusting hole as far as it will go. Instead of the specified fixture, you can use a drill with a diameter of 5 mm.
Set and lock the shift lever in neutral position (on the line of inclusion of the 1st and 2nd gears). In this case, the device must be installed without a gap until it stops, and the arrow must point to the mark.
Tighten clamp bolts in this position to 15 Nm.
Gap between hook A and stop B (see fig. P0190) must not exceed 3 mm, repeat the adjustment if necessary.
Check the inclusion of all gears; if it is difficult to turn on, repeat the adjustment.
Install a new plug in the drive cover.
Carry out a test drive and check the ease of shifting, if necessary, repeat the adjustment.
