Checks before leaving

Before leaving, be sure to check:

• tire condition and air pressure
• the level of engine oil and fluids in the engine compartment
• windows, mirrors and outdoor lights must be free of dirt, snow and ice and ready for use
• do not stir any items on the shelf in front of the rear window (they are reflected in the glass, obscure the view, and during heavy braking can fall into the passenger compartment and cause injury to passengers)
• correct installation of seats, seat belts and mirrors
• do not block the doors (in the event of an accident, this will provide access from the outside)
• brakes

Exhaust fumes are poisonous

Carbon monoxide, which is part of the exhaust gases, is very toxic, while it is colorless and odorless. Therefore, it is prohibited:

• inhale exhaust gases
• leave the engine running indoors.

Also make sure that the trunk lid is closed while driving, as this may cause exhaust fumes to enter the vehicle interior.
