After starting, briefly depress the gas to reduce the engine speed.
Starting with a hot engine: hold the gas pedal halfway down, with a hot engine - completely.
Starting engines (except 14NV, 16SV, 18SV)
Set the gearshift lever to idle, depress the clutch. Do not depress the gas pedal, turn the key in the steering wheel lock to position III.
With an increase in engine temperature, the engine speed will automatically decrease to the idle speed:
Diesel engine start 17 D
Switch the gear lever to idle, squeeze the clutch, do not press the gas pedal, turn the key in the steering wheel shaft lock to position II. When the pre-ignition lamp goes out, turn the key to position III.
At outside temperatures below +10°C: when starting, give full throttle. Once the engine starts, slowly release the gas pedal.
At temperatures below -15°: a longer pre-ignition time may be required. Start the engine a few seconds after turning off the ignition bulb.
Starting a turbodiesel engine (TC4 EE1)
