Tools and electrical equipment
1. Check the operation of all instruments and electrical equipment.
2. Check that all instrument readings are correct and that all electrical equipment is functioning properly.
Steering and suspension
3. Check for faults in the steering, suspension.
4. Drive the vehicle and check for any unusual vibrations or noises.
5. Check up that the steering was equal, turned without excessive effort.
Chassis
6. Check the operation of the engine, clutch (where applicable), gearboxes/transmissions and drive shafts.
7. Pay attention to any unusual noises during the operation of the engine, clutch and gearbox / transmission.
8. Make sure the engine runs smoothly at idle and there is no delay when accelerating.
9. Verify, where applicable, that the clutch operates smoothly, the drive is transmitted smoothly and the pedal free play does not exceed that specified in the Specifications. Pay attention to any noises made when you press the clutch pedal.
10. On manual transmission models, check that all gears operate smoothly and without noise.
11. On models with automatic transmission, check that gear shifting is smooth, with no increase in engine speed between shifts. Make sure that any shift mode can be set with the engine off. If you find any problems, contact your Opel dealer.
12. Listen for the presence of a metallic sound while driving the car slowly in a circle with the maximum steering angle. If a clicking noise is heard, this indicates wear in the driveshaft joint.
