Center console — removal and installation

Removing

1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.



2. Using a screwdriver as a lever, remove the decorative trim in front of the handbrake lever.



3. Release and remove the protective cover of the hand brake.

4. Unscrew screws and remove a protective cover of the lever of a manual brake.



5. Using a thin screwdriver, remove the center console mounting screw caps. Remove the screws. The screws are located one on both sides in the front of the center console, two in the rear and one in the center.

6. Move the center console away from the panel and remove the covers on each side of the ashtray using the lever.

7. Remove the ashtray holder.

8. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the ashtray and cigarette lighter lighting.



9. Unscrew the central screw securing the center console.



10. Fully raise the handbrake lever and remove the center console.

Installation

Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
