Removing
1. Remove a wire of weight from the accumulator. Warning! After disconnecting the battery, wait at least 1 minute for the airbag control system capacitors to discharge.
2. Remove the steering wheel.
3. Disconnect the wire from the airbag.
4. Remove the wiper and turn switches.
5. Remove the ignition switch.
6. Remove the immibilizer control unit.
7. From the driver's side, remove the trim from the lower part of the instrument panel.
8. Disconnect and remove the air duct.
9. Remove the radio.
10. Remove the heater control unit.
11. Remove air ducts.
12. Remove the glove box.
13. Remove the center console.
14. If equipped, remove the passenger side airbag.
15. Remove the interior trim of the front pillars.
16. From under the panel, remove the cover that covers the coolant pipes.
17. From the front of the panel, remove the air supply nozzles to the windshield.
18. Remove the side trim of the footwells.
19. Remove the left and right side heating ducts.
20. Disconnect the brackets holding the wiring harness to the bracket.
21. Lift the wire harness out of the bracket.
22. Unscrew the bottom (arrows) and the upper screws securing the wiring harness bracket located under the instrument panel.
23. Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector located on the right side of the engine compartment.
24. Remove the bolt and disconnect the ground bar from the base of the A-pillar. Also disconnect the ground strap from the steering column bracket.
25. Remove the ABS hydraulic modulator, then disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector and remove the harness into the vehicle interior.
26. Remove the fuse block cover, unscrew the bolt and remove the fuse block.
27. Unscrew the bolts securing the instrument panel to the bulkhead of the engine compartment and remove it along with the electrical wires.
Installation
Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
