Changing the oil in the gearbox

1. Take a short drive to bring the transmission up to operating temperature.

2. Install the car on a lift or over a viewing hole.



3. Remove the oil level gauge, then place an appropriate container under the transmission drain plug. drain plug (1) located on the rear right side of the gearbox housing.

4. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil from the gearbox.

5. Install the sealing washer on the plug and screw the plug into place.

6. Pour oil into the gearbox through the oil level gauge tube.

7. Run the engine at idle for a few minutes, turn off the engine and check the oil level in the gearbox. Add oil if necessary. Carry out a proof test and recheck the oil level.
