Pushing the car

Vectra with a manual transmission can be pushed or towed. With a good engine condition, this can be done with two assistants:

Turn on the ignition.

Put in 1st gear. In higher gears, the alternator cranks too slowly to supply enough current

Step on the clutch pedal, let your car push until it rolls.

Release the clutch quickly. The engine cranks over and should start.

Immediately press the clutch pedal and add gas.
