Board jack: It must always be placed on a solid base. If necessary, lay a solid board.
Diamond-shaped jack: It is recommended to purchase a stable model with a wide base and as long a crank handle as possible.
Hydraulic plunger lift: There are inexpensive models. Its advantage lies in the fact that with its help you can quickly raise the car. Before buying, you need to check the lift height: if the lift is too low, the wheels will not be raised to the desired height from the ground. And too high a lift cannot be installed under the bottom of the car.
Left: the board jack can only be installed at the mark stamped in the metal on the seam of the body. This applies to both the front and rear of the car. On right: don't forget the prop when you work on the car! Well suited here is such a tripod. A wooden block that distributes the load, as a gasket, will protect the anti-corrosion coating and the bottom of the car.
Jacks can only be installed at these points:
A - a receiving point for a jack in the workshop;
B is the receiving point for the board jack.
Mobile jack: even more practical is the same model with an additional lifting pedal. For a car enthusiast, a short, small mobile jack that does not take up much space is best suited. And you should pay attention to the fact that a lift with too small wheels is difficult to move under heavy load, and that the leash attachment withstands the process of maneuvering.
Tip: a wooden plank placed between the head of the jack (except for side jack) and the bottom of the car, better distributes the load and prevents possible damage to the bottom of the car.
