Maintenance work
Opel recommends replacing the filter insert every 30,000 km. This is sufficient under normal driving conditions; while the liner is periodically cleaned.
On the other hand, when traveling on unpaved roads, despite frequent cleaning of the filter, replacement should be considered much earlier.
The intake air, in vehicles with a 1.8 or 2.0 liter 16V engine, passes through the following nodes:
1 - the upper part of the air filter housing;
2 - the lower part of the air filter housing;
3 - air intake hose of the air filter;
4 - hot-film air mass flow meter;
5 - air intake hose of the air filter;
6 - air intake;
7 - resonator.
After loosening the clamps (arrows) can be removed from the bottom (1) cover (2). The air filter insert is now available (3).
