General information about the Multec injection system

The 8-valve 1.6l Vectra engine has a so-called Multec central injection system with a single injection valve, the operation of which is determined by an electronic control unit.

Thanks to this, the Multec central injection system is one of the most compact injection systems, which, firstly, is very inexpensive and, secondly, has many of the good qualities of a full-fledged gasoline injection. With this method of preparing a combustible mixture, the lambda adjustment also does not cause problems (see chapter «Reducing the toxicity of exhaust gases»).
