Attention: For removal/installation of rear brake calipers/guides, all notes and instructions given in Section 7 apply.
Removing
1. Support the front wheels with wheel chocks, jack up the rear of the vehicle and support it on jack stands. Remove both rear wheels.
2. Release the parking brake lever, remove the spring clips from the caliper (see Section 6).
3. Wring out the executive lever on a support of the back brake mechanism, disconnect from it a tip of a cable of a drive of a parking brake and release a cable from the holder.
8.3 Retainer (1) cable end (2) on the parking brake actuator lever: 3. Holder
4. Disconnect the brake hose (see resist. illustration) from the support. Follow the directions given in Section 7.
8.4 Hollow bolt (2) brake hose fittings (1) to the rear brake caliper: 3. Bolt of fastening of the lower guide pin
Note: If the caliper is removed only to remove the brake pads or the brake disc, the hose should not be disconnected - tie the caliper with a wire to the body.
5. Remove the protective cap and unscrew the bolt (see illustration 6.4) fixing the lower guide pin of the caliper.
6. Turn the caliper up on the axis of the upper guide pin (see resist. illustration), remove the upper guide from the holder and remove the caliper. Remove the brake pads from the guide, mark the installation position of the pads.
8.6 Expand the caliper (4) rear brake mechanism on the upper guide pin (5): 6. Brake pads
7. Turn out 2 bolts Togh of fastening of directing brake pads (see resist. illustration) - follow the instructions given in Section 7. Remove the guide.
8.7 Torx bolts (7) mounting rear brake guide: 8. External brake pad
Installation
6. Before installation, clean the threads of all bolts from the remnants of the compound and lubricate it with fresh compound (e.g. Loctite Tour 243).
7. Install the brake shoe guide and tighten the mounting bolts. A lot of force is required to tighten the rail mounting bolts (130 Nm!), - check the reliability of fastening the car in the suspended position. It is recommended to replace the wheels and lower the vehicle.
8. Insert the upper guide pin of the caliper into the holder, press the brake piston using a special tool (see Section 6) and reinstall the brake pads.
9. Lower a support downwards and screw in a bolt of fastening of the bottom directing finger.
10. If the brake hose was disconnected, do not forget to replace the sealing washers and remove air from the brake path (see Section 3), the hose must not be kinked or kinked.
Note: It is enough to pump only the circuit whose caliper was removed.
Check that the hoses on the front wheels do not touch them at the maximum steering angle.
11. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. If the hose was disconnected, bleed the hydraulic lines of the service brake drive (see Section 3), check the fluid level in the GTZ reservoir, correct if necessary.
12 Before starting the operation of the car, check the proper functioning of the brake system.
