Note: When using the remote control, it must be pointed directly at the car.
On models equipped with electrically adjustable front seats and rear-view mirrors with memory function, when the doors are locked with the remote control, the current settings of these elements are stored and activated when they are subsequently unlocked using the appropriate remote control (see Section 12). Remote control malfunctions can be caused by the following reasons:
- a) Incomplete closing of any of the doors;
- b) The battery level of the remote control battery has dropped;
- c) The distance between the remote control and the car is more than 3 meters;
- d) The presence of interference from extraneous sources of radio signal;
- e) Multiple activation / deactivation of a single lock within a short time - the overload protection system is activated (momentary shutdown of the system);
- f) Multiple attempts to use the remote control outside the range of the emitter - the device is no longer recognized, it is necessary to synchronize (see below).
If the cause of the failure could not be eliminated, the unlocking / locking of the doors can be done in an emergency way (see below), - if necessary, contact the service station specialists. Observe the following precautions when handling remote controls:
- Do not allow the remote control to get wet!
- Do not drop or shake the remote!
- Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight for a long time and do not heat it above 60'S!
- Try not to use the remote control unnecessarily!
The remote control is equipped with three buttons (see illustration 2.1):
- - locking doors/raising windows/closing the top hatch;
- - unlocking doors / lowering windows;
- - unlocking the luggage compartment lock.
Note: For a detailed description of the procedure for accessing the luggage compartment, see Section 3.
