Ensuring the safety of transporting children
Warning! The statistics of deaths and injuries in road accidents show that it is safest to install child seats in the outermost places of the rear row of seats!

IN1 - Only available with seat occupied recognition and special Opel child seat with trans-onders. When attaching a child seat with a three anchor seat belt, install the seat height adjuster (with appropriate equipment) to the top position. Move the front passenger seat fully back and set the height of the upper passenger seat belt anchor to the lowest position.
IN2 - Only available with seat occupied recognition and special Opel child seat with transponders. When attaching the child restraint system with the three anchor seat belt, install the seat height adjuster (with appropriate equipment) to the top position. Move the front passenger seat fully back so that the seat belt passes forward from the pivot point.
U - Universal suitability in combination with a three-anchor seat belt.
"+" - For seat with ISO-FIX attachment. When using an ISO-FIX anchorage, only ISO-FIX child restraint systems approved for this type of vehicle must be used.
"-" - Child seats are not permitted for this weight group.
Warning! The anatomical features of the structure of the child's body determine an increased risk of injury compared to adults when airbags are triggered!
In order to ensure the safety of transporting young and middle-aged children, special child seats and restraints should be used that are interfaced with the car's standard seat belts.
Detailed instructions for the placement and installation of child seats should be attached to them - if necessary, contact the official representative offices of Opel for advice. When installing the child seat, strictly follow the instructions given in the instructions supplied with the product. The list of special child seats recommended for use by Opel and how they can be placed in the car are specified in the Specifications at the beginning of the chapter. Be careful, make sure that the purchased product is suitable both for your child and for installation on your car. On models equipped with front passenger seat occupied recognition (see Section 13), only a special Opel child seat equipped with transponders can be installed on the latter. With a different vehicle configuration, the installation of a child seat in front is not allowed! On ISOFIX models, the rear seat outboards and the front passenger seat are equipped with child seat anchors (see illustration 11.1). The brackets are located between the cushion and the seat back.
11.1 On ISOFIX models, the rear seat outboards and the front passenger seat are equipped with child seat anchors
Attention! ISOFIX seats are designed for children weighing no more than 22 kg! Strictly adhere to the instructions supplied with the product!
Always try to place your child in the REAR seat of the car and secure it properly using a child seat or a standard seat belt. According to accident statistics, the rear seat is safer for transporting children than the front. Deployment of airbags in a collision could cause serious injury or even death to a child.
When transporting children who are over the age for placing them in child seats, use special booster cushions to ensure that the shoulder section of the seat belt is correctly positioned (see Section 10).
