Rear window lifter replacement

The operation is shown on the example of replacing the power window regulator. Replacing a manual window regulator is carried out in the same way (there are minor differences, see text).

To perform the work, you will need a drill, a drill with a diameter of 10 mm, a riveter, rivets with a diameter of 5.2 mm.

Execution sequence

1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).

2. Remove the rear door glass (see «Rear door glass - replacement»).

3. If power windows are installed, disconnect the wiring harness block from the gear motor.



4. We drill with a drill with a diameter of 10 mm five rivets for fastening the power window mechanism.



5. We remove the power window through the lower technological opening of the front door.



The window regulator is a non-separable structure; in the event of a malfunction, it is replaced as an assembly.

6. We install the parts in the reverse order.
