Zafira Front Side Glass — Replacement

On the Zafira, a fixed glass is installed in the A-pillar, which is secured with nuts. Therefore, replacing it yourself is quite simple.

Comment. The performance of the work is shown on the example of the operation with the left glass, the replacement of the right glass is carried out similarly.

Execution sequence

1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).

2. Use a thin slotted screwdriver to remove the plug...



... and with a TORX T20 key, we unscrew the bolt securing the front pillar lining.



3. We remove the sealant of the right doorway along the A-pillar.



4. Using a slotted screwdriver with a wide blade, overcoming the resistance of the latches, remove the front pillar trim.




5. Overcoming the resistance of the clamps, remove the front trim of the instrument panel.



6. Using the TORX T20 key, we unscrew the bolt securing the side trim of the instrument panel...



... and, overcoming the resistance of the clamps, remove it.



7. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the four fastening nuts and remove the glass.



8. Install the parts in reverse order.
