Front anti-roll bar — strut replacement

To complete the work you will need:

• car stand;
• jack;
• anti-recoil stops.

Execution sequence

1. We prepare the car for work (see «Preparing the car for maintenance and repair»).

2. We hang out the front of the car completely and remove the wheel from the side of the rack to be replaced (see «Wheel - replacement»).

3. Holding the ball joint pin from turning with a 17 mm key, unscrew the stabilizer strut fastening nut with a 18 mm key.



4. We remove the pin of the ball joint of the stabilizer strut from the bracket on the suspension strut.



5. Similarly, disconnect the lower edge of the anti-roll bar from the bar and remove it.

Comment. The anti-roll bar mounting nuts are self-locking and cannot be reused, so they must be replaced during assembly.

6. Install the stabilizer bar in reverse order. Tighten the fastening nuts to the prescribed torques (see «Reference data»).

7. Similarly, we replace the second rack of the anti-roll bar.
